When it's Memorial Day Weekend, you can bet you'll find a massive gathering of the anime community in downtown San Jose for Fanime, the biggest convention of its kind in northern California. This is where I'm going to be that weekend, enjoying the costumes of the attendees, hanging out with friends, and participating in the convention's activities.
If you're interested in learning about writing for female characters in your own books, manga, or film, then you'd likely enjoy my panel Female Characters in Anime. It's on Sunday the 26th of May at noon in Panel Room 1. If you came last year, thank you for your attendance and thoughtful feedback.
